Like his sculptures, Bianconi, now the subject, is posed in a gallery environment of gray floor and white wal, while Pailley assumes the role of artist and manipulates his form/model into contortions that are surreal, humorous and bizarre.

Inspired by the constant motion and change of New York street life,

The Stubborn protagonist is the wall - a border.
It is constructed everywhere like the Berlin of the past.
We thought it was destroyed, but in fact it has moved elsewhere.
It goes to places where hatred prevails.
USA/Mexico, Israel/Palestine, Morocco/Western Sahara.
The wall has wheels and history repeats itself.
The clothing on the wall belongs perhaps to those who have left their lives behind.
All that remains is a shadow trace of a murderous border drawn in fencing wire,''a chiken lattice''.

A dress hangs on a wood and metal frame.
Not more than a whisper of silk, maybe the object will melt away, like rain drops.
There is a bucket that waits underneath, just in case.

The Heroine of this morality play on the theme of Pure/ Dirty is a long-limbed mannequin.
Her accessories, the iron mask and the matches of the stake attest to this. To clean, she uses a wet sponge to eliminate the enormous stain of the electric chair.
Dound in a black haute couture dress, our lady pleads with us who will judge and be judged.
